  • Who can join the activities during Inslussningen?

Everyone can join, but only new student can participate in the competative activities. To join the evening arrangements, you need an valid ID and confirmation that you are a student.

  • Does it cost anything?

The ambition is that all activitise should be free or at least cheap for all students. Almost every activity is therefore free, but you might have to pay a tiny fee to enter the pub or to get some food.

  • Why should I join the student union?

There are a lot of advantages in joining the student union. Firstly you support the organisation, get discounts, cheaper entrance in DeCore, we can help you if there are any problems with your program or any teacher, and give you the opportunity to affect the student life.   • How do I become a member?

If you want to  join the student union, you can visit our office on campus or in our stand on campus during ”Inslussingen” and then regularly during the semesters.

  • Do I have to wear my ”nollebricka” all the time?

Of course not, but it’s easier for the buddies to recognize the new students, and everyone else to see your name and what you are studying.

  • How do I know which committee I belong to?

Every program have a specific committee that the students belong to.  You can read more about these on the Student Union Webpage. You can also choose to engage in one of the interest-committees if you’re interested in sports or planning events.

  • If I want to be active in the student union, what do I do?

No problems! You can ask any of our buddies. They can tell you what to do.

  • Do I have to participate every day?

No, but it might be funnier for both you and your classmates if you are. Inslussningen is the perfect start on your student life!

  • Who can visit the student pub?

All students and employees on Univerity West can come to the pub. All you need is a valid ID and to confirm that you are a student with an identification from University West, in paper or on the web. Buddies or people in the entrance can show you how to find theese.

  • Can I bring guests?

If you are a member in the student union, you can register two guests at decore.nu but they have to be over 18 years old and registered at least 24 hours before the party/pub. We only allow 50 guests who doesn’t study though, so be there on time!

  • Can I pay with card in the pub?

Yes, at DeCore you have the choice to pay with both card and with cash.

  • Do I have to drink alcohol?

Of course not! We have lots of different non-alchololic options at the pub.
